  • Position                             Stores Assistant (Part time)

    Department:                      Logistics                              

    Reports to:                        Local Logistics Team Leader

    Hours of Work:                 Monday – Friday from 6am – 12pm         

     

     

    Job Purpose: 

    To accurately and safely receive, store and dispatch both chilled and ambient products in a timely manner for Isle of Man based customers and to assist in the day to day operations of the Cheese and Dry Goods Store.

     

    Principle Accountabilities:

    Milk Fridge

    ·         To allocate storage space and to rotate stock either by FIFO or as requested by the Chilled Stores and Distribution Manager.

    ·         To accurately pick products and record transactions (including product dates) to meet customer requirements.

    ·         To accurately record the movements of miscellaneous movements i.e. ‘breakbacks’, returns to production etc.

    ·         To assist in stock counts / reconciliations as required.

    ·         To assist with the implementation of finished goods stock control within the milk fridge.   

     

    Cheese Store

    ·         With direction from the Export Logistics Team Leader, to allocate storage space and maintain FIFO stock rotation.

    ·         Assist in stock counts / reconciliations. 

    ·         To provide consumables to production and additive departments.

    ·         Palletise cheese off cooling trolleys onto pallets.

    ·         Assist with loading cheese trailers and with unloading deliveries.

    ·         Providing and receiving cheese and packaging to and from various packing areas.

     

    General

    ·         To maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

    ·         To undertake such additional duties which may be requested by Management.

  • Position:                            Machine Operator – Milk Processing

     

    Department:                      Production – Milk Processing

     

    Reports to:                         Milk Processing Team Leader

     

    Purpose

    The jobholder has responsibility for the efficient operation of the production line during day-to-day activities within milk processing, along with the monitoring of all packed products so they meet quality, legal and customer specifications.

     

    Principal Accountabilities
     

    ·         Operate the Galdi, Polybottle and Cream machines in adherence to work instructions and in a safe and efficient manner

    ·         Monitor all production quality issues and product packaging to ensure product specifications on milk, cream and buttermilk are met

    ·         Check product weights, temperatures, date codes and customer orders

    ·         Move all products into the Milk Fridge and take all samples required to the Laboratory

    ·         Assist in reducing wastage, product and materials within the department

    ·         Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time and maintain the relevant documents to meet the requirements of the Quality Manual Procedures and external auditors

    ·         Assist with the implementation of systems to improve overall production efficiencies and to help reduce operational costs

    ·         Have an understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, together with the necessary qualification and experience in Food Hygiene

    ·         Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and clean all plant and equipment to an acceptable quality standard

  • Position                            Milk Fridge Operator

    Reports to:                        Chilled Stores and Distribution Manager

     

     

    Job Purpose: 

     

    To accurately and safely receive, store and despatch products ready for delivery to Isle of Man customers.

     

    Principle Accountabilities:

    ·         To accurately record all receipts from internal and external suppliers.

    ·         To allocate storage space and to rotate stock either by FIFO or as requested by the Chilled Stores and Distribution Manager or Logistics Manager.

    ·         To accurately pick products and record transactions (including product dates) to meet customer requirements.

    ·         To accurately record the movements of miscellaneous movements i.e. ‘breakbacks’, returns to production etc.

    ·         To assist in stock counts / reconciliations as required. 

    ·         To maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

    ·         To undertake such additional duties which may be requested by Management.

     

    Hours of Work:

    ·         An average of 39 hours per week worked on a 7 day rota basis to include weekends.

    ·         4 shift patterns incorporating early morning starts and a nightshift (nightshift normally once every four weeks).

  • Position                               Maintenance Technician

    Department:                        Engineering                       

    Reports to:                          Engineering Manager

    Location:                             Isle of Man Creamery

    Job Purpose:

    To maintain the smooth running of our production equipment so that the Creamery can continue to operate efficiently 365 days a year.

    Principle Accountabilities:

    ·         To contribute to ensuring the plant efficiencies are maintained at an acceptable level and pro-actively improve these efficiencies wherever possible.

    ·         To contribute to ensuring all plant breakdowns, repairs and planned maintenance are completed quickly and effectively, within agreed parameters, and with the minimum disruption to process or operation.

    ·         To ensure that all equipment (including modifications) conforms to safety regulations.

    ·         To assist with the implementation, input and updating of the planned maintenance system within the Creamery.

    ·         To maximise the use of stocks, supplies and spares for the Creamery plant and equipment, ensuring production efficiency and staying within budget.

     

    Hours of Work:

    39 hours per week with requirement to be on call for 1 week in every 4 weeks (paid at a set On Call Allowance rate)

    Essential Desirable 
    Experience
    Working within either a mechanical or electrical maintenance environment
    Working within the Dairy industry or FMCG industry
    Working in a multi-skilled environment

    Computer literate
    Able to work effectively in a team
    Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
    Ability to remain calm and controlled under pressure
    Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and prepare
    Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and business requirements.
    Multi-skilling to include the support of pneumatic and general services would be an advantage.
    Ability to train others and take an active role in the development of apprentices
